Don Pisto Liquors supports DIF Municipal with charity race ‘Run with Don Pisto’
Rosarito-based company Licores Don Pisto is teaming up with the city’s social services agency, DIF Municipal, to launch its first-ever charity race, Run with Don Pisto. Proceeds will benefit DIF’s Basic Rehabilitation Unit, which provides care for children, teens, and seniors in the community.
The 5.5-kilometer race is set for Sunday, September 7, starting at 8:00 a.m. at Don Pisto “Castillos” on Bulevar Artesanal Popotla. Open to families, the event welcomes runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair participants, with men’s, women’s, and wheelchair categories.
The first 400 registrants will receive a commemorative medal, and cash prizes will go to the top three finishers. Registration costs 250 pesos, with all proceeds supporting DIF Rosarito’s rehabilitation services.
“This first race organized by a local business like Don Pisto guarantees an experience that combines sports, community, and solidarity—while enjoying a scenic coastal route,” said Aziel Espinosa Adame, president of the DIF Municipal board, as he thanked the company for its initiative.
Race numbers are available at IMDER, DIF, and Made Healthy (on Bulevar Popotla), as well as at Don Pisto branches Matriz, Centro, and Castillos. Registration can also be completed via bank transfer.
