Aziel Espinoza Adame, president of the municipal DIF, toured the facilities of the Boys and Girls Club to learn about the services it provides for children in Rosarito.
Accompanied by Rosy Torres Ramírez, promoter of the Boys and Girls Club, the young architect saw firsthand the institution’s work in supporting local children through academic, cultural, athletic, and human development programs.
During the visit, club leaders presented her with a document addressed to Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz containing three requests: property tax relief, an extension of the “violet route” public transport service, and food for the children who attend the club.
Verónica Medina Martínez, director of the Boys and Girls Club, explained that one of the main concerns among parents and students is access to public transportation. Many families, she said, face economic hardship and lack private vehicles.
She also stressed the importance of reinstating the food program for children, which ended with changes in past administrations.
Club leaders further underscored their need for broader support and sponsorships—particularly financial contributions—to help cover daily operating costs.
For her part, Espinoza Adame recognized the club’s vital role in shaping young people and committed to following up on its requests and ongoing needs.
