Two years into his presidency of the United Society of Baja California (USBC), Diego Knight celebrates achieving one of his key goals: strengthening this iconic social organization in Rosarito.
The USBC continues to bring together members, primarily foreign residents living in Rosarito, while increasing its membership and expanding the number of monthly activities, many of which focus on supporting marginalized sectors of the community.
Diego Knight, president of the 40-year-old organization in Baja California’s “Fifth Municipality,” highlighted these accomplishments during a recent gathering.
In January alone, the USBC kicked off its activities with a general assembly of members and guests, featuring directors from Rosarito’s Tourism and Convention Committee.
During the meeting, municipal representatives shared their work plans under Mayor Rocío Adame’s administration.
USBC’s more than 50 members dedicate their time, resources, and efforts to funding worthy causes within the community. These initiatives range from supporting animal welfare and promoting literacy to providing scholarships for students from low-income families, among other efforts.
As part of its event calendar, the organization has scheduled a charity bingo game featuring raffles, surprises, and an opportunity for attendees to enjoy a lively social gathering.
