The bathrooms at the Primo Tapia Community Center, where senior citizens frequently gather, have been repaired, according to Sulma Corina Beltrán Montes, director of the Municipal System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF). She emphasized that the center has remained open at all times.
Beltrán Montes announced that a thorough inspection will be conducted at all 10 community centers to identify specific maintenance needs. The goal is to allocate funds for repairs at the start of 2025 and begin work on maintaining these facilities.
“We’ll be conducting inspections because each center has its own minor issues, and we want to address them. Obviously, we’ll take action early in the year as we finalize the budget to carry out the necessary repairs,” she stated.
She also noted that the Tonanzin Community Center, located in the upper part of the Constitución neighborhood, is currently in the best condition.
Beltrán Montes highlighted the importance of maintaining these spaces, which serve as hubs for learning and growth. They host workshops on a wide range of trades, including hairstyling, pedicures, tailoring, and mechanics.
The citizens who attend these workshops aim to strengthen their family economies and promote personal development, making it crucial to ensure these spaces are not neglected.
