Baja California Center was the venue for the first forum to develop the Federal Government’s National Development Plan 2025–2030, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
This forum marks the beginning of a series of 41 events to be held across various states in Mexico, aiming to define the federation’s strategies and priorities.
Titled Governance with Justice and Citizen Participation: Building a Secure and Just Republic, the forum is one of several consultations to address key themes such as well-being and humanism, a dignified economy and labor, and sustainable development.
Participants in the working groups included citizens who voiced the real needs of their communities, according to Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz.
Together with Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, Mayor Adame presided over the protocol ceremony for this National Development Plan.
“We are pleased that President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo chose to begin this important process here in Baja California, specifically in Rosarito,” she said.
“This effort will also inspire the State Development Plan. The state plan will include consultations with a focus on key priorities such as security, mobility, and infrastructure.”
She emphasized that Mexico’s transformation begins with dialogue and active community participation, and these forums for the National Development Plan 2025–2030 reflect a strong commitment to collective engagement.
The forum was attended by representatives from various sectors, including civil society, all seven mayors of Baja California, business leaders, opinion-makers, and especially those with a vested interest in security issues.
