The Rosarito city government has launched street paving projects in three working-class neighborhoods, aiming to improve local infrastructure and benefit residents both directly and indirectly.
In the Aztlán neighborhood, the streets Anáhuac and Tepechpan will be paved with hydraulic concrete through an investment of $9,063,321.08 MXN, funded by the 2025 Social Infrastructure Fund (Ramo 33). The project includes over 3,934 square meters of paving to connect Anáhuac Street (currently a dead end) with Tollan Street.
Officials say the improvements will ease both vehicular and pedestrian traffic and reduce issues such as dust during the dry season and mud or flooding during the rainy months.
At the groundbreaking event, Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz—joined by PRODEUR acting director Erick Montaño De La Torre—highlighted the work as a fulfilled promise to local families who had requested better roads for years.

In the La Mina neighborhood, the streets Mina Coronel and Mina del Valle will be paved with a budget of $3,942,443.77 MXN, also from the 2025 Social Infrastructure Fund. The work will cover 2,249.74 square meters of hydraulic concrete and include the rehabilitation of water and drainage lines, the addition of warning signage, and the construction of sidewalks.
More than 1,000 residents will benefit from improved connectivity to Yagües Boulevard, one of the area’s main traffic arteries.
Meanwhile, in the Lomas de Rosarito neighborhood, paving work has begun on Avenida Linda and Avenida Hermosa, with a total investment of more than $14 million MXN from the city’s 2025 general public works program.
Avenida Linda will be paved over 3,688 square meters between Avenida Paraíso Oeste and Volcán Street, with a budget of $7,109,391.60 MXN. Avenida Hermosa will see 3,892 square meters paved, funded with $7,333,237.75 MXN.
Both avenues are key access routes to the upper areas of the city. The upgrades will improve mobility for schools, homes, and businesses, and make it easier for emergency and public transportation services to reach the area.
At the event, residents from both neighborhoods expressed their appreciation to Mayor Rocío Adame’s administration for addressing one of the community’s long-standing demands.
“We knocked on doors for years, and now we’re finally being heard. These streets will change our lives,” said Carmen Mireya, a resident of Lomas de Rosarito.
