The Department of Urban Development is continuing maintenance work along Benito Juárez Boulevard, from the northern entrance of the city to Popotla Boulevard.
Following earlier improvements to Rosarito’s main tourist thoroughfare for the Tianguis Turístico event, current efforts are focused on ongoing maintenance, including cleaning the medians and trimming palm trees near the northern entrance by the Plan Libertador area.
Mauricio Aguirre Ruiz, director of development and urban services, reported that crane trucks equipped with baskets are being used for the trimming and cleaning of the palm trees.
Efforts are being made to complete this work as quickly as possible to minimize disruptions to traffic in the tourist zone.
As of this week, city crews had made significant progress on palm trimming and cleaning at the Plan Libertador entrance. On the southern stretch of the boulevard, major improvements were noted between the Rosarito Hotel and La Paloma.
The ongoing work also includes cleaning and maintaining the gardens in the central median, as well as inspecting and repairing any damaged streetlights.
Aguirre Ruiz stated that Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz has instructed city departments to refurbish all of Rosarito’s major roads to improve the city’s image for both visitors and residents.
