ROSARITO BEACH, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO—The iconic Rosarito Beach Hotel & Spa, which turned 100 this year, has plenty on its menu for guests this Thanksgiving weekend, whether they’re looking for a holiday getaway or a just a delicious turkey feast.
Three-course turkey dinners will be offered for three days — Nov. 28, 29 and 30th — in both the resort’s Azteca restaurant & Bar and its elegant Chabert’s Bistro, located in what once was part of the resort’s family mansion.
Each restaurant will be serving full-course roast turkey dinners with all the traditional trimmings, plus choice of two appetizers and two desserts. The Azteca will be serving from noon until 10pm and Chabert’s from 5 to 11pm.
Early bird pricing (before 6pm) is 550 pesos at each resturant, and regular pricing 600 pesos, including tax but not gratuity. Prices for children under 12 years of age is 320 pesos before 6 and and 350 pesos after.

Although not an official holiday in Mexico, Thanksgiving is popular with resort guests, the approximately 20,000 expatriates who live in Rosarito, most from the U.S., as well as long-time city residents, who have grown fond of this taste of border culture.

What was then a 10-room roadhouse announced its grand opening on July 27, 1924. Now the Rosarito Beach Hotel & Spa, it has grown to Baja’s largest and best known beachfront resort, with 500 rooms and suites.
During that century, it has hosted millions of guests who have created tens of millions of stories at the seaside resort, less than a scenic 20 south of the United States-Mexico border, and 30 miles from San Diego.
In recent years, the resort has added a café on the pier, museum, small chapel by the sea, renovated rooms and made many other changes in preparation for its centennial celebration and future.
The city of Rosarito was founded around the resort, which is the centerpiece for what has become one of Baja’s most vibrant tourist regions.
