The Playa La Misión and Estuary Civil Association has renewed its environmental watch committee, officially endorsed by the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), the institution responsible for providing support and guidance for situations on the beach, which the association oversees on an honorary basis.

According to Norma, a member of the association, the team is small, as all members are volunteers committed to contributing to the protection and preservation of the environment.

Its activities include reporting suspicious activities at the Estuary and Playa La Misión, such as fires, pollution, the extraction of endemic plants, and the presence of endangered birds threatened by hunting.

The association’s relationship with the federal agency is positive, despite the fact that the offices are located outside the city. The focus remains on prevention when it comes to environmental protection.
