With confidence in his experience and the contributions he will bring to the Rosarito Tourism and Conventions Committee (COTUCO), Irán Verdugo Contreras was unanimously confirmed as the group’s director general.
The new director expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to working transparently and honestly to promote tourism in Rosarito.
He emphasized his commitment to fulfilling Rosarito Mayor Rocío Adame’s mission of reducing inequality and social disparity.
Additionally, Verdugo highlighted that tourism plays a fundamental role in the city, and said COTUCO will work closely with both the public and private sectors to enhance the municipality’s development.
The vote took place during an extraordinary session of COTUCO, where Verdugo, a Tourism Management graduate from the Faculty of Tourism and Marketing at UABC, was sworn in.
He has previously served on a voluntary basis in business organizations, including as president of the Baja California College of Tourism Professionals and former secretary of the Northwest Hotel Association.
