summer camp underway

With the aim of teaching children and teenagers how to respond to emergency situations, both in aquatic environments and urban areas, the Junior Lifeguard Summer Camp 2024 has started.

The activities, aimed at children and teenagers aged nine to 17, will take place at the central beach, adjacent to the DIF Municipal parking lot, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9am to 12pm.

Aarón González Casillas, coordinator of the Aquatic Rescue Division, stated that registration for the summer camp is still open.

In addition to providing basic knowledge to help participants learn how to respond to emergency situations, the camp will also offer information on the importance of maintaining healthy eating habits and regular physical activity.

González Casillas noted that there has been a great response from the people of Rosarito, which has led to the opening of new spaces for those who wish to participate.

Interested individuals must present the following documents: a recent medical certificate, two passport-sized photos, and a registration form, which should be submitted at the beach in the central area during the camp’s operating hours.
