More than 200 runners took part in the first charity race Fire Run & Challenge 5K, organized by the Pro Firefighters Association with support from city government to raise funds for a fire truck.
Brisa Guerrero Hernández, director of the Pro Firefighters Association Rosarito, highlighted that the event was held in a festive atmosphere and featured the participation of firefighters from Tecate, Tijuana, Rosarito, the National Guard, and various sports clubs from the city, as well as others,
At the end of the race, many participants joined the Firefighter Challenge showcase, which included an obstacle course designed to raise awareness about the effort firefighters make and the risks they face daily to save lives in emergency situations.
She detailed that they will continue to hold activities to strengthen the corporation, aiming to provide more efficient service to the community, and invited citizens to stay tuned for future editions of the race.
Carlos Arturo García Ames, head of Civil Protection and Firefighters, acknowledged the participants for rallying around this cause. The race took place along Benito Juárez Boulevard without any setbacks.
