Restaurants in Rosarito affiliated with the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC) have set an example in implementing the Self-Regulation Program imposed by the State Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (COEPRIS). It is hoped that more restaurants will join this initiative.

This was expressed by the local president, Octavio Machado, after the state meeting of the affiliates with COEPRIS, where the commitment to the Self-Regulation Program was reaffirmed. The program aims to certify restaurants for good practices and compliance with regulations.

“The intention of the agreement is that, alongside the great gastronomic offerings of the area, there is certainty that the food has undergone due process, thus creating confidence among diners,” said the restaurant leader with the arrival of the summer season.

He emphasized the importance of complying with this program since it results in a certification valid for two years, which accredits compliance with the requirements in this matter and encourages responsibility among restaurant entrepreneurs.
