The project “The Gallery in Your School” continued with the completion of a third mural at Ejido Mazatlán Elementary School, located in the Lucio Blanco neighborhood.
This time, artist and teacher Ugi painted a mural on the facade of the student dining hall.
Recognized for his work, Ugi adorned the area with a vibrant array of dahlias and jasmine flowers. This mural, the third created under the program promoted by cultural advocate Armando González de la Fuente, enhances the school’s environment.
“The Gallery in Your School” is part of the “Art Everywhere” program, which has been active for 18 years. The murals have been funded by companies like Hisense and the Ejido Mazatlán community.

The initiative aims to continue promoting art and culture in schools, involving students in the creative process.
The mural project also seeks to create economic and expressive opportunities for local artists, and plans to include landscaping elements for the enjoyment of students and teachers.
Additionally, an activity is underway to create a mural themed around marine life, intending to raise awareness about coastal conservation. Students have contributed drawings which will be transferred to the exterior wall of the school by the community and teachers. The “Art Everywhere” program aims to create more murals at various locations throughout the city.
