With a recycling campaign set for Saturday, June 15, starting at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of Rosarito City Hall, the Municipal Youth Institute (IMJUVER) is promoting the culture of recycling within the Rosarito community.
Everyone is encouraged to dispose of recyclable materials or items without harming the environment or polluting public spaces.
The types of materials that can be brought to the collection include all types of plastic bottles, metals (canned goods, aluminum cans), electronics (CPUs, laptops, tablets, batteries), small appliances like blenders and mixers, and even clean clothing in bags.
Israel Duran Natera, head of IMJUVER, said the goal is to raise awareness about the importance of reducing the environmental impact of non-degradable waste when it is thrown away and ends up in landfills, polluting the soil, air, and water.
“We invite all citizens to participate in this campaign and contribute their bit to environmental care,” he said. “Fostering a culture of recycling is essential for building a clean and healthy future for the next generations.”
He also extended special thanks to Ewally, an organization recognized for being socially responsible in building a more sustainable future in Rosarito.
