The City Government of Playas de Rosarito is inviting residents to participate in a series of free bulky waste collection events scheduled throughout June as part of an effort to keep neighborhoods clean and prevent illegal dumping.

Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz encouraged residents to take advantage of the service by placing bulky waste items in front of their homes before the scheduled collection times.

“We invite all families to join this effort to keep our neighborhoods clean, orderly, and safe. Citizen participation is essential to improving our surroundings and building a better community for everyone,” the mayor said.

Collections will take place from 8 a.m. to noon according to the following schedule:

  • Colinas del Sol – June 2, 2026
  • Real de Rosarito I – June 4, 2026
  • Huacatay – June 9, 2026
  • Villa Bonita – June 11, 2026
  • Aztlán – June 16, 2026
  • Caracoles – June 18, 2026
  • Aguamarina – June 23, 2026
  • Volcanes – June 25, 2026
  • Mar de Popotla – June 30, 2026

City officials made a special appeal to residents of Colinas del Sol, where the first collection event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2. Residents are encouraged to place bulky waste items in front of their homes before 8 a.m. to facilitate collection and ensure efficient service.

According to the Department of Urban Services, the program is intended for large items that cannot be collected through regular household garbage service because of their size.

Officials said the initiative also helps prevent illegal dumping and improves the appearance of local neighborhoods.
