Organizers of the third annual Festival del Vino Rosarito 2025 were thrilled to see their expectations met as around 500 attendees gathered on Saturday, July 26, to celebrate regional wine and cuisine at the State Center for the Arts (CEART).

Now in its third year, the event—organized by the Rosarito Rotary Club under the leadership of Rosario Castillo Ceja—has quickly established itself as a cultural showcase for Baja California’s culinary and winemaking talent. The festival also supports local charitable causes.

Families from across the state, American residents, and members of the general public turned out to support the cause-driven celebration. Guests enjoyed a wide selection of regional wines, tropical fruit drinks, and gourmet samples from some of Baja’s most renowned restaurants.

The event featured a rich artistic program that blended traditional Mexican dance with contemporary urban culture, brought to life by a roster of talented local and regional performers.

As in previous years, celebrated traditional cook Josefina Sánchez delighted visitors with her famous carnitas, while other restaurants offered savory paella and a variety of seafood dishes.

In his opening remarks, Rosario Castillo Ceja, president of the Rosarito Rotary Club, expressed gratitude to participating wineries and restaurants for contributing to an event that brings hope to children in Rosarito.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit three youth-focused initiatives:

  • Casa Hogar Horizontes, a shelter that provides care for vulnerable children;
  • the Centro de Atención Múltiple Laboral, which trains young people with disabilities for productive employment; and
  • a scholarship fund that allows children to take music and art classes at CEART.

The combination of fine wine, food, culture, and community spirit made for a memorable evening—and a promising future for the causes it supports.
