With the aim of promoting financial education among students in the last grades of elementary and secondary school, teachers were trained in a workshop called “Didactic Game of Entrepreneurship” and the Web App “Emprendeconect@.”
This workshop aims to transform the way fifth and sixth-grade elementary students, as well as secondary school students, approach the world of entrepreneurship. The project was driven by the Economic Development Advisory Council of Playas de Rosarito (CCDER).
Juan Carlos Huerta Ávila, the delegate of the Secretariat of Education, thanked the CCDER for their support and collaborative work, which has enabled the implementation of many projects that have a positive impact on students’ lives in the municipality. He also expressed gratitude to Plurales Mx for this innovative project.
In this regard, Juan Santana Bosquet, the president of CCDER, highlighted the importance of this project, which seeks to spark curiosity among children and young people, providing them with a solid foundation to understand the business world and encourage entrepreneurship.
“This initiative has been planned for almost a year, and today it is a reality. I thank the Secretariat of Education for the teachers’ participation, as this was designed to introduce entrepreneurship concepts in a playful and attractive way in the classrooms. We hope that through these tools, students will develop critical thinking, strengthen teamwork, and promote collaboration and idea exchange,” said Santana.
The workshop was led by the Civil Association Plurales MX and its director, Toni Luquín, as well as María Carmiña Monroy Frías, deputy director of the No. 13 Micaela Aguilera Topete Technical Secondary School.
