Rosarito now has 6 STEAM classrooms, which aim to foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, preparing students for an increasingly technological future.

This initiative is thanks to the Playas de Rosarito Economic Development Advisory Council (CCDER) in coordination with the Ministry of Education, who sought to implement 6 innovative STEAM classrooms (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) in 6 basic education schools, which will be available upon the return from the vacation period.

The active classrooms are located at the Raquel Gómez Márquez Kindergarten in the Ampliación Constitución neighborhood, the Xochiquetzal Kindergarten in the Aztlán neighborhood, the José María Pino Suárez Primary School in the Ladrillera town, and the Rosarito Primary School in the morning shift and 15 de Mayo in the afternoon shift in the Constitución neighborhood.

In the secondary level, the schools benefiting from this initiative in both shifts are the Emiliano Zapata General Secondary School No. 7 in the Ejido Plan Libertador and the Lucio Blanco Secondary School in the morning shift and Rosario Castellanos in the afternoon shift, both located in the upper part of the Lucio Blanco neighborhood.

The president of the CCDER, Juan Santana Bosquet, emphasized the Council’s vision to support projects that foster economic development through local talent formation and the education of children and teenagers.

Meanwhile, the Education Delegate, Juan Carlos Huerta Ávila, shared that the Ministry of Education is committed to educational innovation, highlighting the importance of providing students with the necessary tools to thrive in a globalized world. He emphasized that this initiative has a significant impact on the commitment to quality education and a forward-looking vision, laying the foundation for a new generation of competent and creative professionals in Baja California.
