To ensure quality service and safety during the 2025 Tianguis Turístico de México, a sensitization workshop was held for municipal police officers.

The officers participated in various activities aimed at preparing them to meet visitors’ needs and guarantee a safe and welcoming environment throughout the event.
The workshop, organized by the Secretariat of Citizen Security and the Rosarito Tourism and Conventions Committee (COTUCO), covered a wide range of topics, including safety and service protocols, language skills, conflict resolution, surveillance and coordination in tourist areas with other security agencies, knowledge of Rosarito’s tourist attractions, and promoting a positive image of the city.
The training sessions were held at the City Hall facilities and included the participation of municipal authorities, COTUCO representatives, and staff from the Baja California Tourism Secretariat.
With this initiative, the local government aims to reaffirm its commitment to providing quality service to visitors and positioning the municipality as a top-tier tourist destination.
“Safety is a fundamental pillar for the success of the Tianguis Turístico. That’s why we are investing in training our police officers to meet the high standards required by this significant event,” stated Irán Leonardo Verdugo Contreras, General Director of COTUCO.
Meanwhile, Martha Mendoza, Metropolitan Delegate of the Baja California Tourism Secretariat, emphasized that this event represents a unique opportunity for the destination that will not repeat in the coming years.
“We must showcase our hospitality, as we will be welcoming visitors from at least 70 countries,” she remarked.
