The Business Coordinating Council (CCE) recently held a meeting with representatives from the Municipal Department of Development and Urban Services, reiterating its commitment to Rosarito’s infrastructure development.

Local CCE president, Gustavo Torres, stressed the importance of collaboration among all sectors to support the City Council.

The meeting covered various urban development topics for Rosarito, highlighting how the business sector, including the CCE and the Rosarito Economic Development Advisory Council (CCDER), is contributing through the Business Trust Fund (FIDEM) to drive projects aimed at improving city mobility and promoting beach cleanliness.

Additionally, the Chamber of Construction will support efforts to clear creek channels, restore sidewalks, improve lighting in the municipal cemetery, and install street lamps. These replacements are planned for Benito Juárez Boulevard and other areas in need.

A significant project under consideration is the construction of a boardwalk along the Huahuatay creek area, along with the potential development of a Navy base.

Discussions regarding the Navy base are ongoing with Baja California’s Secretary of Economy, Kurt Honold, although Torres Ramírez acknowledged the complexity of this project.

Private sector support will also extend to the Municipal Planning Institute (IMPLAN) and the Urban Development Department.

The City Council’s openness to collaboration with various sectors was commended, with key attendees including Urban Administration Director Luis Fernando González, IMPLAN Director Dalia Salazar, and architect Mendoza Fuentes, who works with the City Council.
