With the participation of 96 professionals from the tourism and hospitality industries, an in-person training session on “NOM-251: Hygiene Practices” was recently held through a joint effort by CANIRAC Rosarito, the Baja California Ministry of Tourism, and COEPRIS.
The training provided participants with practical knowledge and tools to improve food handling, storage, and preparation procedures while promoting higher food safety standards across the industry.
During the session, attendees reviewed key topics related to food safety, sanitary risk prevention, and service quality. Organizers said the training helps build consumer confidence and enhances the experience of both visitors and local diners.
CANIRAC Rosarito recognized the commitment shown by participants and emphasized the importance of cooperation between industry organizations and government agencies in strengthening the city’s tourism and restaurant sectors.
Organizers said ongoing training remains an important tool for improving service standards and supporting economic growth as Rosarito prepares for the busy summer tourism season.
