Ariana Ávila López, a 16-year-old runner from Rosarito and member of the Jaguares athletic club, won a silver medal in the 1500-meter race (under-20 women’s category) at the 2025 CONADE National Olympics held in Apizaco, Tlaxcala.

Ariana, who trains alongside her sister Alina Ávila López—also an accomplished athlete—has stood out in both state and national track and field competitions. The sisters clinched first place in the 2023 Baja California State Track & Field Championships, held at the High Performance Center in Tijuana.

In addition to her recent silver medal, Ariana was selected to represent Baja California at the 21st National Sports Games for Upper Secondary Education in 2024, hosted in Puebla.

A student at Cobach Rosarito, Ariana began training in track and field at the age of 10. She continues to hone her skills with Club Jaguares and credits her father as a key influence in her development as an athlete.
