The organizers of the eighth edition of Expo Mueble BC confirmed that this year’s event will take place June 27–29 at the Baja Center, also known as the Centro Metropolitano de Convenciones, in Playas de Rosarito. The 2025 edition promises new features and the participation of exhibitors from several Mexican states known for their furniture-making traditions.
Interior designers, architects, home comfort specialists, artisans, and promoters will gather in one venue, showcasing the border region as a top destination for both tourism and business.
Lorena López Mijangos, the event’s commercial director, said the goal is to make Expo Mueble the premier platform for companies in the sector and to solidify its status as the largest furniture fair of its kind in Latin America.
“This will be a unique event where visitors can connect with artists, artisans, and industry creators, while also accessing their products for sale—all in one place, open to the public and pet-friendly,” she said.
In a press conference held Tuesday, June 3, at the Casa Municipal’s Sala de los Forjadores, organizers announced that eight of the region’s most renowned local companies will participate, working with materials such as wood, wrought iron, and rattan.
More than 80 exhibitors from across Mexico—including Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Oaxaca, and Mexico City—are confirmed to attend. Organizers anticipate over 8,000 visitors during the three-day event.
City council members Yoselin Peña and Alan Bautista, representing Mayor María del Rocío Adame, highlighted the growing presence of furniture makers and artisans along Rosarito’s Bulevar Popotla, paying tribute to pioneer craftsman Juan Bosco López and his family.
This year’s event will also feature the inaugural “Design Without Borders” furniture design competition, with a prize pool of 80,000 pesos awarded to the best entry. Thirty-six proposals from students in industrial design and interior decoration at three of the state’s top universities have been submitted.
