Langosta Spin is a striking artistic sculpture made of fiberglass, featuring high-quality finishes and great attention to detail. This piece was created to beautify the median adopted by Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel and Villas, and to pay tribute to the cultural identity of Puerto Nuevo, which is internationally recognized for its culinary tradition in lobster preparation.
Langosta Spin is an artistic structure made primarily from fiberglass, measuring 3.5 meters wide, 6.5 meters long, and 4.5 meters high. It weighs approximately 500 kilograms and features a distinctive dark orange color with a matte alkyd enamel paint finish.
The sculpture is highly resistant to weather and humidity, as it was designed to remain for many years on the central median. Its installation includes a reinforced metal base for anchoring to the ground, with attachment points on the main body and each of the legs.
This iconic and significant work, the first of its kind, was created by local artist Moisés Michelle. It is worth noting that it has been well received by the people of Primo Tapia, who admire it as the first structure of its kind on the central median of Puerto Nuevo. It has now become part of the community ahead of the Tianguis Turistico 2025 and the inauguration of the Puerto Nuevo Museum.
