With over 4,000 cyclists participating, the 16th edition of the “Pedaleando” bike race organized by the Castro Limón Foundation in support of children with cancer took place on Saturday, April 4th.

For the first time, the race started at the Benito Juárez Boulevard near Hotel Rosarito, a company that joined this noble cause alongside its Board of Directors President, Hugo Antonio Torres Ramírez, who in his speech recognized the work of the Castro Limón Foundation in supporting children with cancer.
“Thanks to this event and the support of the Castro Limón Foundation, children with cancer are being attended to. We recognize the efforts of the Castro Limón Foundation. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hotel Rosarito, I thank all the runners for supporting this cause,” he said.
José Cleofas Arreola, President of the Castro Limón Foundation’s Board, thanked the support of Hotel Rosarito, which has joined as a sponsor of the cause this year.
“This is the 16th anniversary of Pedaleando, which has been a success thanks to the participation of all the cyclists and now also the support of Hotel Rosarito. Thank you, Hugo, and thank you to everyone for making this a reality. We are coloring this city and creating an event to support children with cancer,” he said.
To date, the Castro Limón Foundation has saved 128 children from cancer, providing them with timely treatment at no cost.
In 2024 alone, the Castro Limón Foundation declared nine patients cancer-free.
Currently, the foundation provides free treatment to one child from each municipality in the region, including Rosarito, giving them hope for a better future.
The race’s final destination was the Bibayoff vineyards in Ensenada, after a 70-kilometer route, where a celebration and awards ceremony took place.
