Preparations continue for Tianguis Turístico 2025, which will be held at the Baja California Center Convention Center. To ensure quality service for the thousands of expected visitors, the State Ministry of Tourism has launched a series of training programs.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Government is implementing various upgrades in key lodging areas to accommodate participants.
At the most recent meeting with leaders from various business chambers, the Rosarito Tourism and Convention Committee—honorarily chaired by local businessman Paul Corona—reported that it is coordinating efforts to include images of the city in the official photographic and audiovisual promotion of this major binational event.
Strategies are also being defined to maximize the economic impact and visibility the event will bring to the municipality.
Beautification and rehabilitation efforts have begun in strategic areas of the city. These include repainting crosswalks, cleaning medians, and patching potholes in areas surrounding visitor accommodations.
The Baja California Ministry of Tourism has also launched a training series titled “Destinations of Excellence: On the Road to Tianguis Turístico 2025,” which includes special sessions for university students volunteering at the event.
These sessions focus on Baja California tourism knowledge, service quality, first aid, and emergency response protocols, among other key topics.
The “Destinations of Excellence” workshops are designed to strengthen the professional development of tourism sector personnel and are targeted at frontline staff across the tourism value chain.
The training program includes modules on Tourism Culture (taught by the Baja California Ministry of Tourism), an overview of Tianguis Turístico México and the Baja California host site, Inclusive Tourism, First Aid, Service Quality, Crisis Management, and Responsible Supplier practices, the latter presented by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
