Francisco Carrasco Beltrán, Director of the Municipal Sports Institute (IMDER), highlighted the strong coordination achieved with the high-performance swimming program Rosarito Nadadores to provide users of the city’s aquatic center with a comprehensive service.

The official confirmed that past conflicts over pool usage have been resolved, and efforts are now focused on continuing to deliver quality swimming instruction to the community.

Thanks to the partnership between the City Council and Rosarito Nadadores, the program offers a wide range of training options—from beginner lessons and therapeutic swimming to special needs instruction, senior swimming, basic professional techniques, and high-performance training under the guidance of coach Erick Galván.

To implement this integrated teaching program, IMDER developed a flexible scheduling system that designates pool lanes for each specific course.

New rules have been established for all user groups, with a key requirement being medical exams for individuals with known health conditions. This measure aims to prevent accidents that may occur if such conditions are undisclosed during pool use.

For the safety of all swimmers—especially children and youth—users are now required to register in advance, specifying which program they will attend as well as the days and times of their participation.

Carrasco Beltrán emphasized that the purpose of these rules is to ensure user safety at all times and to encourage individuals with professional aspirations to reach their full potential.
