The cleaning and maintenance of the six sports courts and multi-purpose facilities follow a scheduled calendar, with personnel from the Municipal Institute of Sports and Public Works conducting more complex maintenance tasks.
At the Reforma Sports Complex, recent work included painting and electrical wiring installation. Additionally, efforts are underway to reopen the former medical services office, according to Director Francisco Carrasco, who emphasized the positive involvement of the local neighborhood committee in maintaining the facilities.
Carrasco acknowledged that waste accumulation occasionally occurs, as seen in recent photos circulating online, but assured that these are temporary situations.
He stressed the importance of user participation in maintaining cleanliness, as the institute only has six maintenance staff positions, primarily assigned to the Rosarito Sports Complex and Andrés Luna Sports Complex. Therefore, he highlighted the crucial role of neighborhood committees in preserving these public spaces.
The Institute of Sports remains open to suggestions and requests, positioning itself as a supportive and collaborative organization. Carrasco also encouraged the community to visit sports facilities and stay active.
