In preparation for the Tianguis Turístico 2025, the Tourism Secretariat is conducting an intensive, comprehensive training program for various sectors involved in visitor services.

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Tourism Secretariat hosted a series of lectures covering key topics for businesses and tourism professionals.

Participants included Tourist Police officers, hotel managers, restaurant and tourism business owners, transport operators, and sector workers, who received training on the following subjects:

  • Tourism Culture, presented by Martha Mendoza Montes, Metropolitan Tourism Delegate.
  • Inclusive Tourism, led by representatives from the Human Rights Commission.
  • Service Quality, delivered by consultant Karla González.
  • First Aid Training, conducted by Fernando Ramos of Metanoia Academy.
  • Responsible Supplier Practices, presented by a PROFECO representative.

The goal of these training sessions is to foster a culture of excellent tourism service and equip industry professionals with valuable knowledge, including emergency response and first aid skills.

These mobile training sessions will be held across various municipalities that will serve as alternate venues for the Tianguis Turístico.

Martha Mendoza Montes expressed her appreciation for the interest and commitment of the participating workers and businesses in enhancing the quality of tourist service.
