With support from the Local Search Commission and subject matter experts, families and activists searching for missing persons in Rosarito are inviting the public to attend the second grief and loss awareness workshop.
Raúl Cornejo, president of the Enlace y Restauración Collective, confirmed that the workshop is open to all and will take place on Monday, Feb. 18, starting at 8 a.m. in the conference room on the second floor of the State Government Delegation in Rosarito.
“There are many disciplines and insights we need to learn from experts—not only in field search and tracking techniques but also in personal and family matters, as we have all suffered the loss or disappearance of a loved one,” Cornejo stated.
The workshop aims to support individuals experiencing grief, whether unresolved or ongoing, by providing them with tools to help rebuild their daily lives and find hope in supporting others.
The collective also provides social assistance and humanitarian aid to those in greater vulnerability, including the elderly, homeless individuals, and deported or displaced persons.
“Over time, we have formed a tight-knit community, realizing that serving others is essential—not only for raising awareness but also for our mental and spiritual well-being,” Cornejo added.
Thanks to growing support, the group has also connected with a shelter to assist those living on the streets, offering them aid and encouragement, recognizing that many of them are also being searched for by someone, somewhere.
