The Coordinación Estatal de Protección Civil  (CEPC) has issued a public advisory urging residents to take precautions against the low temperatures forecast by the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

The cold weather is expected to impact high-altitude areas of the state most significantly.

Recommendations:

1.   Dress Appropriately:
Wear multiple layers of warm clothing, particularly for children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory conditions.

2.   Prevent Intoxication Risks:

o    Ensure proper ventilation when using heaters or stoves.

o    Avoid using braziers or open fires indoors.

3.   Preserve Heat Indoors:

o    Keep doors and windows closed while ensuring safety when using heating equipment.

4.   Protect Pets and Plants:

o    Shelter pets in warm spaces.

o    Cover or move plants susceptible to frost.

5.   Prevent Illnesses:

o    Consume foods rich in vitamins A and C.

o    Stay hydrated and monitor for respiratory symptoms.

The CEPC will continue monitoring weather conditions and provide timely updates. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and adhere to safety measures to prevent accidents.
