A total of 415 school supply kits were distributed to students from two city elementary schools, thanks to the efforts of the Red Cross Rosarito Volunteer Ladies.

The schools were Benito Juárez and Guadalupe Victoria elementary schools, with 266 kits allocated to Benito Juárez, located in the downtown area, and 149 kits to Guadalupe Victoria, situated in the Crosthwaite neighborhood.

Concepción Acosta, a volunteer from the Red Cross, addressed the students of both schools, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to the Rosarito community. She said that initiatives like this aim to enhance students’ academic experiences.

Acosta extended her gratitude to the fellow volunteers who supported the effort, those who made donations, and the Education Department for their collaboration in making the distribution of supplies possible.

Jessica Jesús Zavala Sámano, Rosarito’s Education Delegate, stated that the supplies were secured through coordination with the Red Cross Volunteer Ladies.

She underscored the significance of this partnership, which reflects a strong support network involving organizations, associations, and institutions.

Through this collaborative effort between the Red Cross volunteers and the Education Department, the initiative demonstrated the power of joint actions in achieving positive outcomes for students and the broader community.
