women’s breast reconstruction

The CARMA Foundation has launched its breast reconstruction campaign for cancer survivors.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Month in October, the group will be hosting several preventive activities.

One of the key events is the 5K race, “Run for Them,” which aims to raise funds for the ongoing breast reconstruction campaign.

The race will take place at the Baja California Center Convention Center on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 8am. Participants supporting the race will receive a t-shirt, medal, race number, and hydration.

Founded in 2010, the CARMA Foundation has helped 200 women over the past 14 years.

The foundation has remained committed to raising funds to perform breast reconstructions for low-income patients who have undergone mastectomies due to breast cancer.

“With this event, this race, we aim to raise the necessary funds to help survivors rebuild their lives,” said Dr. Eduardo Góngora.

All race participants will receive a medal, and the first-, second-, and third-place winners in both the male and female categories will receive special recognitions for their achievements.

For more information or to register for the race, interested parties can message the Instagram account: GenesisClinic, visit the Facebook page Genesis Clinic, or call 661-612-3161.
