Young Rosarito boxing prospect Martell Barragán Carlón received financial support from the Rosarito Rotary Club, led by Daniel Mario Escobar Vargas, as an incentive to continue his professional training and pursue his dream.

The 18-year-old learned about the Rotary sports support program through Lorena Durazo, an active member of the organization. The funds will be used to cover some equipment expenses required for his training.

The young athlete received the support with great enthusiasm and promised to work hard to excel and make a name for himself in the competitive world of boxing.

Rotary members visited the training facility where Martell practices and witnessed the passion he has for the sport.

Martell Barragán Carlos, originally from Michoacán, was brought to Rosarito by his parents at a young age, where he discovered his love for boxing, always supported by his father.

He has been practicing boxing for four years under the guidance of his coach, José Luis Falcon Casales.

In 2023, he made his professional debut in the super lightweight category, where he holds a professional record in four fights of three wins by knockout and one loss.

He is currently in his fifth semester of high school and works on weekends to help cover some of his study and training expenses.
