For the first time, the Hall of Pioneers at the Municipal House features photographs of the municipality’s founding figures.
This initiative, supported by the Municipal Government and the Committee for the Municipality, aims to showcase the images of these impactful citizens and groups, allowing the community to learn about their legacy.
The individuals honored include: Bernabé Hernández Armas, the Mercy Hands Group, Salvador Ochoa, Sergio F. Brown Higuera, Conrado Acevedo Cárdenas, Enrique Esquivel Haroz, René Ortiz Campoy, José Luis Ibarra Arenas, Ramón López Arce, Carmen Martínez, Juvenal Arias, Conchita Romo, Rosa María Torres, Miguel Jiménez García, and Beatriz Machado de Acevedo.
These figures are recognized as inspiring and bold visionaries whose determination and sacrifice paved the way for the municipality’s development.
“This recognition not only celebrates the past but also reaffirms our shared commitment to preserving and enriching the legacy of those who envisioned a prosperous future for Rosarito,” stated Mayor Araceli Brown, who unveiled the photographs before stepping down from office.
