Thanks to the participation of young people from the Volunteer Network of the Municipal Youth Institute and staff from Benchmark, a beach cleanup was held at Central Beach on the morning of Sunday, July 28.
A total of 30 volunteers came together to promote more eco-friendly consumption habits.
During the cleanup, the significant work of the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) conservation brigades was recognized. The initiative will continue to organize such events to foster a healthier environment, emphasizing that environmental responsibility is shared by all citizens.
Since the beginning of the current municipal administration, the institute’s volunteers have conducted 13 cleanup events with ZOFEMAT’s support. Despite efforts to promote these activities, participation remains low.
