safety recommendations
Lifeguards are offering safety recommendations to swimmers, given the high number of children at the beach and the presence of strong currents in certain areas.
The main recommendation is to keep a close watch on children at the shore and prevent them from venturing into the sea, as underwater currents can drag them or cause them to fall into pits created by the currents.
Unfortunately, many parents ignore these recommendations and only remove their children from the water when they witness a nearby rescue.
To make matters worse, many swimmers or even some vendors invade the restricted area where lifeguards place preventive cones to keep the emergency access to the sea clear.
On the other hand, lifeguard personnel have denied that there have been shark sightings at the beach, at least in the central area.
