About 40 food, crafts, and coffee businesses joined the “Gastro Fest,” which took place in front of City Hall in a festive atmosphere with norteño dancing.
Festival organizers explained that this event supports small growing businesses, which are pillars of the family economy.
Families prepare their dishes and presentations to give a personal touch when offering their Mexican food.
The dishes ranged from lamb barbacoa, homemade pizzas, delicious tamales, and huaraches with squash blossoms, among other snacks.
The Gastro Fest concluded with a free norteño music concert, right on Alta Tensión Boulevard, which was closed to vehicular traffic between José Haroz Street and Distrito Federal Street next to the Machado Bridge.
