The traditional Rosarito – Ensenada Bike Ride will take place this upcoming September 2024, a cause for celebration for thousands of amateur cyclists on both sides of the border and throughout the region, announced César Rivera González, president of the Committee of Tourism and Conventions (COTUCO) of Playas de Rosarito.

Rivera González reported that after several weeks of discussions, negotiations with the organizers of this globally known cycling event were successfully concluded, making the Rosarito – Ensenada Bike Ride official for Saturday, September 28, 2024.
“This is extraordinary news for the cycling community on both sides of the border and throughout the region, who year after year participate in this event, globally known for being a 50-mile fun-filled ride, starting in Playas de Rosarito and ending in the Port of Ensenada,” he said.
He highlighted that this is also very good news for the entire tourism sector of Playas de Rosarito due to the positive projection of the destination that this event brings, as well as the economic boost generated by the influx of thousands of participants.
“We are very happy because after a year of not being held, the largest festival on wheels in Latin America returns to take place on September 28, celebrating the 45th anniversary of this iconic event,” Rivera González emphasized.
Finally, the President of COTUCO Playas de Rosarito thanked the support of the IX City Council of Playas de Rosarito, headed by Mayor Araceli Brown Figueredo, as well as the State Tourism Department (SECTURE), led by Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, for successfully concluding the negotiations for this event.
He also acknowledged the support of Hugo Antonio Torres Ramírez, Executive Vocal of the State Trust and President of the Council of the emblematic Rosarito Hotel, the starting point of this event. He also thanked the good disposition of Claudia Ley and Guillermo Rodríguez, representatives of the Rosarito – Ensenada Bike Ride.
