In an atmosphere of celebration and hope for children battling cancer, the Castro Limón Foundation, with the support of its sponsors, held the 17th edition of its cycling race, “Route of Hope,” from Rosarito to Valle de Guadalupe on Saturday, March 28.

This marks the third edition in which Hotel Rosarito has participated since joining the cause in February 2025, when the race was first held with Hotel Rosarito Beach as both the venue and starting point.

During the race’s official kickoff, Hotel Rosarito Chairman Hugo Antonio Torres Ramírez recognized the work of the Castro Limón Foundation in championing children with cancer and reaffirmed the hotel’s commitment to supporting the event in future editions.

“Events like this not only benefit children with cancer, but also help strengthen the tourism sector during these challenging times. You can count on our continued support for many more editions,” said Hugo Antonio Torres, who received recognition from the Castro Limón Foundation during the event.

Race coordinator Julia Limón reported that over the past 17 years, the foundation has supported numerous children across Baja California with treatment; 150 have been declared cancer-free, while another 100 are currently undergoing treatment.

All funds raised through the race are fully allocated to covering treatment for children served by the Castro Limón Foundation.

The 70-kilometer route begins in Rosarito and ends in Valle de Guadalupe, where a community celebration is held for participants and attendees.

At the start of the race, with an estimated 3,000 cyclists, representatives of the Castro Limón Foundation—led by Roberto Castro—thanked participants and sponsors for continuing to bring hope to children fighting cancer.
