The Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) joined the City of Rosarito’s cleanup campaign to remove heavy waste and illegal dumps held on the morning of Friday, October 24.
Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz, along with representatives from CMIC and the business sector, took part in the campaign’s launch activities, highlighting the importance of citizen participation and interagency coordination to address pollution caused by accumulated waste that affects the health and well-being of Rosarito families.

As it did during a previous cleanup along Bulevar 2000, CMIC once again supported the City with machinery and personnel for this initiative, which took place in one of the main areas identified as an illegal dumping site. The site had become a hotspot for heavy debris, construction waste, and garbage that produced foul odors and harmed the urban environment.
“Keeping our city clean is everyone’s responsibility. This effort not only removes waste, but also raises awareness and strengthens our sense of community. We want a clean and orderly Rosarito, and to achieve that we need the participation of residents, businesses, and local authorities,” said Mayor Adame.
The mayor invited residents to place heavy waste outside their homes to facilitate collection during the campaign, and urged everyone to help keep public spaces clean. She also acknowledged the coordinated efforts of municipal departments and the support of the business community, which—through FIDEM resources—promote joint actions to improve the city’s urban image.
“We are achieving results thanks to teamwork. Collaboration with the business sector makes us stronger, and together we are lifting up Rosarito. It’s up to all of us to take care of our city,” Adame concluded.
