The State Commission of Public Services (CESPT) held its latest community outreach event in the Lomas Altas 1 and 2 neighborhoods, aiming to bring public utility services closer to residents in remote areas of Rosarito.

During the event, community leaders presented several requests to CESPT officials, including the installation of potable water lines and a communal water connection.

Residents also received information about water consumption subsidies, high-bill reviews, service management, and responsible water use and conservation practices.

“CESPT has already received our request to install a communal potable water connection for our community, which includes around 500 families who have been waiting for this service for more than 33 years,” said Esmeralda Meza Martínez, community leader of Lomas Altas 1 and 2.

CESPT General Director Jesús García Castro committed to addressing each of the residents’ requests to ensure they receive the necessary water and sanitation infrastructure in their homes.

He explained that the first step will be to conduct a survey in each neighborhood to assess demand, followed by the development of an executive project to secure the required funding from state and federal agencies.

“Community service and management are priorities for this administration,” García Castro emphasized. “Our commitment is to improving residents’ quality of life. We will continue working closely with local communities to guarantee access to clean water and sanitation throughout Playas de Rosarito.”

The event featured several service modules, including CESPT in Your Neighborhood, the Water Culture Program, and the Commercial Subdivision Office, where residents’ concerns were addressed directly by CESPT staff.
