The Rosarito Masters 60-and-over baseball team continued their winning streak, bringing another triumph to the Rosarito Municipal League with a commanding 13–3 knockout victory over the Mex-Bros. The high-energy matchup took place on Saturday, May 24, at the René Ortiz Campoy field.

The game began with Víctor Romero on the mound, delivering a strong performance through three shutout innings. When he later ran into trouble, Joel “Plomin” Aguilar came in to relieve him. With his trademark tight pitching style, Aguilar shut down the opposition completely and was ultimately credited with the win.

Managed by the seasoned Cande Aguilar, the Rosarito lineup erupted offensively, unleashing their full batting power. Every player contributed to the win, with standout performances from team captain Héctor Raygoza, who went 4-for-5, veteran Carlos Valencia at 2-for-3, and José Luis “El Puma” Rodríguez at 3-for-5. Romero added to his strong outing at the plate, going 2-for-3, as did fan favorite Miguel “Cuate” Hernández.

With this result, Rosarito improved their record to 6 wins and 3 losses, positioning themselves as serious contenders heading into the playoffs.

The team is also preparing to compete for the state championship, which would grant them the right to participate in the national tournament for their age category, to be held in Saltillo, Coahuila, at the end of November.
