This week marked the launch of the cybercrime prevention campaign titled If Your Facebook Could Talk, which is being conducted through conferences aimed at middle and high school students in Rosarito.

The initiative seeks to raise awareness about the smart use of digital platforms, such as social media, while also helping students identify and avoid risky or inappropriate online behaviors.

“This is a matter of great concern, which is why we are taking action to provide young people with the necessary tools to prevent them from becoming victims of digital criminals.”

The campaign aims to educate students about various mechanisms they can use to protect themselves, including how to file an anonymous and secure digital report in cases of online harassment, cyberbullying, sexting, grooming, or fraud.

In an engaging and interactive way, experts present real-life cases and situations to encourage students to reflect on how they would react if they found themselves facing such issues.

This initiative is led by Ricardo Martínez Cabrales, chairman of the Family Commission of the 10th Municipal Administration of Playas de Rosarito, in collaboration with the Municipal Public Security Department.

Additionally, teachers, parents, and representatives from the Rosarito Youth Institute, DARÉ, the State Education Secretariat, and the civil association Pluralex MX, among others, are also participating in these efforts.
