In preparation for the 2025 Tianguis Turístico, the transportation sector held its first working meeting with the Mobility Directorate of the Rosarito City Council to coordinate logistics and planning.
Representatives from various public transportation unions in Rosarito attended the meeting, which took place on Friday, Feb. 7, at City Hall. The session was led by Miguel Mata López, Director of Mobility for the Rosarito City Council.
As one of the initial actions, it was agreed that transportation unions would be informed about the logistics, dates, and details of the activities scheduled for the Tianguis Turístico.
The objective is to assess the creation of possible temporary transportation routes to meet the increased mobility demand during the event, covering local, metropolitan, and state levels.
Among the key agreements, authorities emphasized the importance of coordination with different mobility and traffic safety agencies to ensure that public transportation provides seamless service to visitors across metropolitan municipalities and tourist attractions, avoiding conflicts over jurisdictional matters.
Additionally, one of the main initiatives in future meetings will be the training and awareness programs for all public transportation drivers to ensure they offer the best service to visitors.
Director of Mobility Miguel Mata López expressed his gratitude for the interest shown by local, independent, and intermunicipal transportation unions in collaborating to create a positive impression on visitors and serve as excellent hosts.
