To support the academic, social, and emotional development of students, the Baja California State Institute of Psychiatry (IPEBC) is offering specialized services for children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) during the back-to-school season.
ADHD is one of the most common childhood disorders, affecting concentration, impulse control, and school performance. Early detection and specialized treatment are therefore critical.
According to IPEBC Director Víctor Salvador Rico Hernández, the institute has provided 9,911 ADHD-related consultations in Baja California so far this year.
“Back-to-school season is an opportunity to identify warning signs and seek support. Early intervention allows children with ADHD to develop skills that improve both their school and family life,” Rico Hernández said. The institute offers medical evaluations, psychological care, family guidance, and educational support.
He also reminded the public that the 075 helpline is available 24/7 for free guidance and support on mental health issues. For more information, residents can contact IPEBC in Tijuana at +52 664 684 2664 or visit the institute’s official social media channels.
