• César Rivera Takes Over as President of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels of Rosarito

Unifying the sector to implement strategies that benefit all those working in the hotel industry is the mission of the new president of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels of Playas de Rosarito, César Rivera, who has stood out in the tourism sector for years and is taking on this honorary role for the second time.

He expressed that he assumes the position with great responsibility and commitment, aiming to unite the sector, create alliances with organizations and the government, and support advertising and publicity campaigns. In other words, “creating a more sustainable hospitality industry with social responsibility,” said Rivera, who also emphasized that another goal is to bring together other operators offering accommodations through digital platforms to increase the number of members and strengthen the sector.

Tianguis Turístico 2025 Boosts Hotel Occupancy in April

The Tianguis Turístico has generated a 90 percent hotel occupancy rate for the participating hotels, compared to the previous year. During the celebration of the Tianguis Turístico, the general occupancy rate is between 95 and 100 percent. However, there are still rooms available for those who want to participate in this mega event. “It has boosted hotel occupancy in April, and we see an increase at the end of the month compared to April 2024,” said the sector spokesperson.

A Voice and a Vote for the Sector

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to support the sector, which currently consists of around 15 hotels and motels but aims to increase this number. He also emphasized the goal of giving all members a voice and a vote in order to create a more sustainable hospitality industry and highlight its social responsibility within this important civil association, which is part of the National Association of Hotels and Motels.
