Exciting news is on the horizon for Playas de Rosarito in terms of economic growth and development, said Gustavo Torres, president of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).

During the swearing-in ceremony of the new board of directors of AMPI (Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals), Torres, who is also a member of the real estate sector, confirmed the upcoming wave of development and investments along the coastal zone.

He emphasized the importance of preparing the sector to continue inspiring confidence among investors.

“Significant investments are coming to Rosarito, one of the three fastest-growing cities in the country. Our state currently ranks sixth in economic development. That’s why we are already working closely with our mayor, Rocío Adame, and our governor, Marina del Pilar,” said Torres.

He pointed out that Rosarito is experiencing the highest percentage growth among cities in the region, which is why the business sector is leading two key studies to support this expansion.

“We are securing funds through the Business Trust Fund (FIDEM) to finance two studies: one focused on bathymetry—the topographic survey of the ocean floor and its cyclical behavior—and another to develop a comprehensive urban mobility plan to improve connectivity with Tijuana, Tecate, and Ensenada,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Luis Fernando González VergaraSecretary of Urban Services of the municipal government, confirmed that urban, economic, and industrial development is indeed advancing, as Rosarito has ample land available to support it.

“Rosarito will soon have six new industrial parks, and we are already working with federal agencies to ensure the necessary energy supply for these projects,” he stated.
