Two fire engines were donated by the Pro Firefighters Association of Rosarito to the Tenth City Council, for the exclusive use of the municipality’s Civil Protection and Fire Department.

The first unit, valued at over 700,000 pesos, was made possible thanks to a donation from the Hisense company and funds raised during the 5K Fire Run and Challenge, held in July.

The second unit was donated as a result of the collaboration between the Pro Firefighters Association and Katherine Turner, director of the Baja Bridges Civil Association and the liaison with the technical team.

This unit, specialized for heavy-duty and forest firefighting, will be an invaluable resource for tackling fires in hard-to-reach areas with dense vegetation.

The official handover ceremony was attended by municipal authorities, Fire Department personnel, and Mayor María del Rocío Adame Muñoz.

This joint effort underscores the importance of collaboration between civil society, businesses, and the government for the well-being of the community.
